Who would like to have Spyware on his or her computer? Well the answer is no one. Spywares get into the computers when you download or install any programs and then these spywares keep a track of all the websites you visit on the internet and they also collect information about whatever you type in the computer. AVG Anti-Spyware
AVG gives two different free packages. One contains a spyware suit and another contains a virus suit. Once the free version activates on your computer it will remove any spyware form it very effectively. Then it also provides protection against spyware which tries to enter into your computer. Protection ability of the software is very good but when it comes to removal it is a little weak in the department.
Avast Home Edition
This is an anti-spyware program as well as an anti-virus program. Avast is quite effective when it comes to protecting the computer against spyware. It will not allow entry to the spyware once it is installed. Removal is good but not as good as protection. Though it will remove majority of the spyware but still there are chances that some portions of it might not be removed by the program. This program can be downloaded for free if you need good protection.
Ad-Aware
One of the best programs available for protecting your computer is Ad-Aware. It has the ability to scan the computer and remove spyware from it. There is yet a problem in the latest version. Every now and then it would give you a message that the program should be upgraded or you should purchase the program for better results. Till the time you do not purchase the program it will not perform active scans.
Besides these you can choose form a number of other programs which suit the needs of your system. You cannot just pick an anti-spyware out of the blue. You must always keep your requirements in mind and then make the selection. |
